This is an illustration for a contest on Talenthouse. I wanted to illustrate the main two characters, and some of the world in which they exist, in Carnival Row in a style that I thought was appropriate…a little saturated but gritty and full of texture. I felt it needed a border to help in creating some cohesion between the two horizontal images.
